At the time, I had a sudden urge to listen to the Beach Boys and then I thought that it was a good idea to do a base off of their greatest hits CD cover. I know it ain't even in season, but according to some people, we don't even have a fall or spring in Florida (yeah, I'm mentioning Florida again). So I guess it's in season somewhere.

Of course, a couple of small bones to pick with this piece buuuut this is what practice is for! Any advice or conundrums?

This is a good painting, but why would you combine the Beach Boys with cartoon ponies?

Because in art, anything is possible! And at the time I was listening to the Beach Boys and then I wanted to draw ponies. Then this happened. That's honestly what happened, no real rhyme or reason, just fun!

This is Sweet Little Sixteen. Radio doesn't play it much anymore, but it got as high as #2 in the charts in the late 1950's. [link]

You may notice some similarities between this song and Surfin' USA. They're note for note clones musically, the lyric strictures are exactly the same, the fact that The Beach Boys totally copied Chuck Berry. Yeah, small stuff like that.
